Protecting Our Oceans

Starts Below the Surface

Join us in our mission to conserve underwater environments using AI to tackle pollution and promote sustainable marine innovation.

It is estimated that over 90% of plastic pollution in the ocean is underwater.

OceanDeep uses AI and computer vision to detect ocean plastics & debris, track biodiversity, and monitor habitats; giving governments and NGOs real-time insight to act faster and protect more.

Research and Innovation

We are looking for interested research partners who would like to contribute to our ever growing database – if that sounds like you, please get in touch.

From ocean clean-ups to pollution monitoring,

OceanDeep transforms underwater footage

into environmental action.

Built for those working to protect the ocean

By analysing underwater footage with AI, we help NGOs, researchers, and marine authorities identify marine debris, monitor wildlife, and track changes to fragile ecosystems, all without adding to their workload.

Improve Ocean Cleanup

Identify and map marine debris and pollution, helping governments enforce regulations and enabling NGOs to prioritise cleanup operations more effectively.

Monitor Marine Health

Monitor changes in coral, fish populations, habitats and debris over time, giving decision-makers the data needed to protect and restore marine environments.

Evidence Your Impact

Use data to show how conditions are improving or where more action is needed, and provide clear evidence for policy, strategy, and funding applications.

Oceanic Scale

Diving into the numbers

At OceanDeep AI, we believe that protecting the ocean starts with knowing what’s in it.

Plastic pollution, coral degradation, and biodiversity loss are accelerating, yet collecting and analysing reliable ocean data is costly, time-consuming, and often delayed. That makes it harder to act where it matters most.

Studies suggest that up to 94% of ocean plastic sinks to the sea floor where current technology is limited in detection capabilities, leaving only 1% on the surface.

%

84% of the world’s coral reefs have been affected by bleaching events. The ongoing 2023–2025 global coral bleaching event is the most extensive recorded.

%

The IUCN Red List indicates that over 33% of marine mammals and nearly one-third of sharks are at risk of extinction, with human activities being the primary drivers.
